Bones (English)
Bones support our body. They are strong and hard enough to support the body and support movements. If we did not have bones, our body would be gelatinous like a jellyfish.
The body has approximately 206 bones and the set of all the bones makes up the skeleton.
The main bones of each part of the body are:
- Bones of the head: skull, frontal and maxilla.
- Bones of the trunk: clavicle, sternum, ribs and spine, pelvis.
- Bones of the upper extremities: humerus, ulna and radius.
- Bones of the lower extremities: femur, patella, tibia and fibula.
